1. Information we collect

Information you give us:

• Contact details: name, phone number, email address and ZIP code.
• Vehicle details: VIN, license plate number and state, year, make, model, trim, mileage, colors, condition, title status, and your asking price.
• Offers from other buyers that you upload for our Better Offer Guarantee. These may include your name or other details shown on the document.
• Sale documents: when you sell your car, a copy of your photo ID, your title, lienholder and payoff details, signatures, and payment details such as your Zelle contact.
• Messages you send us by phone, text or email, including call notes.

Information collected automatically: your IP address, browser and device type, pages you visit, and how you reached our site, through cookies and similar tools such as Google Analytics.

Information from others: vehicle details we look up from your VIN (for example from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration), vehicle history reports, and payoff information from your lender.

2. How we use it

• To identify your car, make you an offer, and verify offers you upload.
• To contact you about your offer by phone, text or email.
• To buy your car: confirm ownership, pay off your loan, pay you, and transfer the title.
• To meet legal duties, such as Texas dealer record-keeping and title rules.
• To prevent fraud and protect our business and customers.
• To understand how people use our site and improve it.
• To send you occasional offers, only if you agree. You can stop at any time.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only with:

• Service providers that work for us: website hosting, email and text messaging, form tools, analytics, and payment processing. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
• Vehicle data services, which receive your VIN or plate number to return vehicle details.
• Your lender, to confirm and pay off your loan.
• Government agencies, such as the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles and county tax offices, to transfer the title.
• Others when the law requires it, such as to respond to a subpoena, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
• A buyer of our business, if we sell or merge it, under the same protections described here.

4. Text messages

If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about your offer and your sale. We send marketing texts only if you agree to receive them. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts or HELP for help. We do not share your mobile number or text-message consent with third parties for their marketing.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies to keep the site working and to measure traffic with Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, but some features may not. To opt out of Google Analytics, you can use Google's browser add-on.

6. How long we keep it

If you ask for an offer but don't sell, we keep your request for up to 24 months, then delete it unless you ask us sooner. If you sell your car to us, we keep the sale records for as long as Texas law requires dealers to keep them, and then delete or securely destroy them.

7. How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), limited staff access, and secure storage for sale documents. No system is completely secure, so please don't send us your full Social Security number or bank passwords.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

• Confirm whether we have your personal information, and give you a copy.
• Correct information that is wrong.
• Delete your information, unless we must keep it by law (for example, records of a completed sale).
• Stop sending you marketing messages.

If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond to your appeal within 60 days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Texas Attorney General at texasattorneygeneral.gov.

9. Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Links to other sites

Our site may link to other websites, such as Google reviews. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date. If the change is significant, we will put a notice on our home page.
